Unexpected alone time.

Tonight for the first time in an absolute age I have some alone time (well, truthfully  the cats will still be home). Dr K has to go to an awards night at a hotel in the city, he’ll suit up and be gone before 6:30.

What to do with this unexpected gift?

I think I’ll make a macaroni cheese for one, drink cocktails and read.  I’m not sure what music I’ll play. Maybe a little Portishead, some REM and some Ella Fitzgerald.

Things I shouldn’t do but will to make the weekend run more smoothly;  make a shopping list for Saturday morning and perhaps do a load of washing.

Have a nice Friday night.  I think I will.
